Ownership verification
Before the platform provisions mail for a domain, it uses a generated DNS verification record to confirm that you control the domain. Copy the exact record name and value from the dashboard.
MX
MX records tell other mail servers where to deliver messages for your domain. Use the mail hostname and priority displayed by X Systems Hosting. Remove conflicting MX records if you want X Systems Hosting to receive mail for the domain.
SPF
SPF is a TXT record that declares which mail systems may send on behalf of your domain. Publish the exact SPF value shown by the dashboard. A domain should normally have one combined SPF policy rather than multiple independent SPF TXT records.
DKIM
DKIM publishes a public key in DNS so recipients can verify cryptographic signatures added to outgoing mail. The dashboard retrieves the selector and public key from the mail provider after your domain is provisioned.
DMARC
DMARC tells receiving mail systems how to evaluate SPF/DKIM alignment and where applicable how to handle failures. Use the current record shown by the dashboard instead of copying an old value from another provider.
If the dashboard still reports a missing record after you saved it, confirm the public DNS value and allow time for propagation before repeatedly replacing correct records.
