What pause does
The X Systems runtime system can freeze the remaining paid time when you intentionally pause an eligible server. The panel server is suspended while paused, and the saved remaining time is restored when you resume.
Use pause when
- You are not using a project for a while but do not want to delete it.
- You want to preserve remaining runtime during maintenance.
- You need the server stopped for longer than a normal restart.
Pause is not a backup
Pausing preserves runtime, not a historical copy of files. Create a backup separately before risky changes.
