What the add-on includes
Automated Backups currently costs €1.49/month. Each pack can protect up to 3 selected servers and keeps a rolling set of approximately 7 daily automatic backups per protected server.

Connect Hydrodactyl
- 1Purchase Automated Backups from Store → Extra's or from the product details page.
- 2Open Dashboard → Automated Backups.
- 3Use the API-key help button if you need the setup instructions.
- 4Create a Hydrodactyl client API key from your panel account and paste it into the X Systems Automated Backups dashboard.
- 5Save the key, then choose the servers you want to protect.
The automation needs permission to perform backup actions on servers that belong to your panel account. Keep the key private and remove or replace it from the Automated Backups dashboard if you rotate the panel key.
How rotation works
When a protected server reaches the configured automatic retention, X Systems removes the oldest automatic backup created by the automation before creating the next one. The rotation is intended to preserve manual and locked backups rather than deleting them to make room.
The automatic run can fail instead of deleting a backup that was not created by the automation. Free a slot or review the server's backups in Hydrodactyl, then the scheduler can try again.
Buying more coverage
One pack protects 3 servers. If you need more, add another Automated Backups pack to your cart. Your dashboard capacity increases after Stripe confirms the additional subscription quantity.
